Last month past wedding clients Eileen & Dan welcomed a new baby boy to their family. Eileen and Dan were past wedding clients and just celebrated their 1st anniversay a few weeks prior to Cameron's arrival.

Last month we had the opportunity to capture Carlos & Omayra's E-Session. They drove up from Miami for the weekend so we spent a few hours in Winter Park visiting some of my favorite photo locations. Omayra & Carlos will be getting married this coming weekend at the Maitland Art Center and Samba Room.

Carlos & Omayra were in the wedding party of Annette & David we captured September of 2008. Images from that wedding can be seen by visiting http://digitalimagingdirect.blogspot.com/2008/09/cypress-grove-estate-house-in-orlando.html

We are way behind in getting this post up. This wedding was captured back in August at the beautiful Buena Vista Palace. Debra and Charles were great to work with over the last year. Not only did we have the opportunity to captured their engagement photos but we also provided them with their complimentary newborn session when their son Jayden was born this past Spring. Vintage Vines provided the beautiful flowers and center pieces for this wedding.

Yesterday we had the opportunity to be part of the 2009 Black Enterprise/Pepsi Golf & Tennis Challenge event sponsored by Infinity and hosted by Biz Markie. The event took place at the JW Marriott & Infinity hired us to provide onside prints of the guests sitting in their newest G37 Convertible. It was a fun event and we hope to be a part of it again next year.

Last Sunday we had the small wedding of Amber & Drew at the beautiful Tuscawilla Country Club in Winter Springs. This was our first time at this venue and we were impressed. We loved the full wrap around porch which provided us a great place for all of the formal portraits prior to and after the ceremony. Lee Forrest of Lee Forrrest Designs in Orlando provided the beautiful flowers.

Last week we met up with Hema and Ron in Winter Park for their engagement session. We finished up right before the rain moved in and walked away with some great shots. Ron & Hema will be married at the beautiful Rosen Shingle Creek Hotel this fall.

Last Month we had the opportunity to capture Ashley & Gary's wedding at Errol Estates Country Club in Apopka. This was our first time working at this location and we hoped to take advantage of their beautiful golf course and locations around the venue but the weather was not on our side that day. We did however captured some great shots under the covering of the main entrance and at the church. All of the staff was professional and the food was great! Dj Shane provided the entertaiment and kept the party going all night .

Back last month we had two weddings to cover on the very wet memorial day weekend. This preview was from Sunday's which took place at the Boardwalk Hotel's Atlantic Dance Hall and Disney's Wedding Pavilion. Even with the rain that messed up our schedule slightly this was a awesome wedding and reception. Liz and Keith were great to work with from day 1 and we look forward to documenting other special milestones in their life.

Last weekend Nelson got to stop in and have a visit with our past wedding clients Jason & Michelle. They recently had a beautiful baby boy so they gave us a call to take advantage of the complimentary newborn session fee we offer to our wedding clients. Here is a sneak peak of what Nelson captured at their home.

Back a few weeks ago our long time friends and past wedding client Beth & Mike met up with us in Winter Park to have a casual family portrait session. It had been at least a year since I saw their girls and couldnt believe how big they are!

Most people know us as being primarily wedding and convention photographers but a few times a month you can find myself or Nelson in one of our favorite parks capturing a family portrait session. If you are interested in scheduling a portrait session please visit our site at www.didpix.com or give us a call at 407 -765-5022. If you are a past wedding client and your family is growing please contact us for special session rates.

Since this was an associate package and I personally wasnt there I decided to have Nelson write a few words about his experience at this recent wedding. When he retires from photography I think he has a possible career as a romance novelist. =)

Wendy and Sean were married Saturday May 2nd at the beautiful Long Boat Key Hilton. The afternoon was bright and the sun shone proudly during Wendy and Shawn's wedding. They surrounded themselves with their closest family and friends. As Wendy walked down the aisle to see her husband for the first time, everyone felt their bond grow even stronger. As the sun was setting with beautiful yellows and blues in the sky, I took their portraits and immediately felt the bond between the two.

Thank you for inviting Me to document your wedding day and sharing your lives with us. I wish you only the best and many years of love together. Thank you Robert and Sharon for a wonderful stay at Longboat Key I couldn't ask for more. You guys made us feel so welcomed and part of your family. The breakfast was delicious :)

Thank you,

Nelson

I am so behind on getting these posts up! This Orlando Wedding took place at the Samba Room in the Dr. Phillips area. Prior to the reception we joined Nadine, Wissam and their family and close friens at their parents house where they had a small ceremony. Its also where the majority of the portraits of Nadine and Wissam took place. From there we headed on to the Samba room for a night of great food, and great music. The DJ rocked with a great mixture of house and current hits.

The 1st weekend of April we had the opportunity to spend the day with the Coates family once again for their daughter's wedding. This is the 2nd Coates wedding we have had the chance to be part of. This family is great to work with because they keep everything very laid back and simple and treat you as if you are part of the family. Here are a few of our favorites from this small backyard wedding that took place in Geneva,Fl.

Location: Geneva, FL

A few weeks ago Amber & Drew came into town from Ohio which gave us the opportunity to get to know them a little better and capture some engagement photos in Winter Park. We originally headed out on April 7th and unfortunately we were experiencing well over 20mph gusts of wind and a temperature of about 50 degrees which didn't make it very suitable for photos. Luckily all of us were available the following afternoon which turned out to be a beautiful day.

We are looking forward to their August wedding at the Tuscawilla Country Club. This will be a new location for us so we are excited to have one there since its a beautiful location.

The last weekend in March we were at the beautiful Rosen Shingle Creek Hotel again for Peter and Danielle's Wedding Ceremony and Reception. The day was abosolutley gorgeous however we would have loved not to have the crazy wind that was making the bride and her bridesmaids hair go every direction it possibly could. The wedding ran smoothly and on schedule thanks to Jennifer at Rosen Shingle Creek and Kristy Rapp from Kristy Rapp Events.

Les & Wendy from Soundwave Entertainment who are also preferred vendors at the Rosen Shingle creek supplied the entertainment which kept everyone partying throughout the night.

Back in late January we had the opportunity to capture Jessica & Michael's wedding. This is the 2nd wedding we have done for Jessica's family and we really wish she wasnt the final sister getting married since they have all been so great to work with....plus they really know how to party! =)

The ceremony took place at Annuciation Catholic Church in Longwood. From there we headed over to the beautiful Heathrow Country Club for the wedding reception.

WeddingWire, the nation’s leading wedding technology company, just announced that our company, Digital Imaging Direct Inc. has won the 2009 Bride’s Choice Awards™!

In its inaugural year, the Bride’s Choice Awards recognizes and honors vendors from the WeddingWire Network that demonstrate excellent quality of service, responsiveness, professionalism, value of cost and flexibility. This year’s recipients represent the top three percent of WeddingWire’s vendor community, which includes over 100,000 wedding vendors from across the US. That means we have been voted as one of the very best in Wedding Photography.

Unlike other awards in which winners are selected by the company, the Bride’s Choice Awards are determined exclusively by recent newlyweds through surveys and reviews.

“We are excited to launch this annual award program to honor high-performing vendors based solely on the experiences of our WeddingWire community,” according to Timothy Chi, WeddingWire’s Chief Executive Officer. “This year’s recipients have set the bar high, exhibiting excellent service and expertise in the wedding industry.”

Digital Imaging Direct Inc. would like to thank our past clients for speaking on our behalf and helping us win the 2009 Bride’s Choice Award!

This past Sunday we were scheduled to to capture the Cooper Family who was awarded a family portrait session that was auctioned off at the 2007 J- Ball at Rosen Shingle Creek where we donated a few packages in addition to capturing the event for the Orlando JCC. It was a bit chilly(low 50's) that morning however they braved the cold and did great and were easy to work with.
